our why
"...to open the eyes that are blind, to bring the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness." -Isaiah 42:7
The Lord began to put this verse in front of me in 2020; after the second or third time of going back to it, a lightbulb went off in my spirit. I thought of individuals, some I personally know and love, who have essentially been prisoners in their own minds; whether the sentence originated from a trauma, lack of self-esteem, or any other myriad of reasons, they've been prisoners who need setting free. Mental health is a complex topic and one that comes with a lot of opinions, guesswork, and stigma. While I don't have all of the answers, I began a journey of educating myself on the subject matter but even after considering the things I've learned, I continue to come back to what I've believed for quite some time: Jesus is enough. When we get down to the meat and potatoes of all life throws at us, it's He who has all the answers and all the healing power. It would need a book to unpack all the intricacies but in short, in my opinion, mental health freedom comes down to one word: identity.
Mental illness seems so gigantic when it comes to combating. However, just as I've personally seen the Lord multiply my little, my hope in partnering with these organizations is that with your business and support, we can lock arms and see people, specifically women, truly set free. These faith-based organizations have a holistic, whole-person approach to life and mental health, which I feel so strongly is the best approach when getting down to the root of mental illnesses.
The beneficiaries listed below are amazing, holistic (Gospel-centric) mental health organizations receive quarterly donations from COCO CADEAUX sales. We are honored to partner with them to see "blind eyes" opened, captives set free and individuals walking in the Truth that Jesus paid for.
